The Recruiters Network - Manchester, London and plans for 2009
The marketing team is buzzing this week in preparation for the Recruiters Network, which is going to Manchester this Thursday. This is the third regional event that we’ve held, but the first one that I’ve organised so I’m really excited about it.
Word about our networking events must be spreading faster than we are because we’ve got the biggest amount of signups we’ve ever had outside of London. September’s London event was the first one that I worked on, and I must say that I was really impressed with the amount and variety of people that turned up, and I hoping for the same vibe in Manchester.
After Thursday, we’re bringing the Recruiters Network back to London for the final event of the year and as we are also hosting the NORAs, we’re sure to go out with a bang! Then it’s on to writing next year’s strategy, and I can’t wait. My main ambition is to raise the level and quality of the events by ensuring that our speakers give their attention to the most topical news and that the top people in the industry are given the opportunity to air their views. I also want to concentrate on making the regional events as popular as the London ones, and am looking into introducing breakfast meetings to complement the evening networking. The Recruiters Network is going to be the must-attend recruitment event in the UK! ...but more about that later!
For now, my main focus is Manchester and with a venue in place that I’ve only heard good things about, transport and hotels booked (and my bag already packed!), all is looking set to go. I have been over my to do list more times than I care to say and the tick list is now firmly imprinted in my mind, so look forward to seeing you there!
