A day in the life of Jack

SofblogI was delighted to hear on Friday morning about the company’s acquisition by AND, the digital media division of The Daily Mail group.

I’ve worked for companies in the past that have been acquired and generally it’s been a positive move. I think with Broadbean it’s unquestionably a huge step in the right direction. If we can get new products to market quicker then it improves our competitive edge and that keeps everyone (me and the sales team in particular) very happy.

Aside from that it should help us expand globally which I’m really excited about as I’ve already been involved in some of our international deals. This means we should a have truly global network in place in a number of years and an American office before Tottenham even get relegated (Roughly: February 2009).

Friday morning got slightly better for me about 10’clock when the lovely Tarah came across to tell the sales team that we were shortlisted for ‘best small sales team’ at the National sales awards and that I personally am shortlisted for ‘young sales person of the year’.  It came as a bit of shock I have to be honest. I’m a Fulham fan and we pretty much never win anything. Never the less I’m honoured to have been shortlisted and look forward to doing my presentation on the 2 of December. I’ll let you know how I get on.
